Beginning in April, CHIL (Charlottesville Historical Image Library) will be hosting a monthly series of photo presentations featuring many vintage photographs of Charlottesville and sharing the history behind the images.
Following several slideshow presentations we did during 2012 and our recent series of the well-received “Roseberry’s Charlottesville” we are assembling new presentations on various aspects of Charlottesville’s history, culture, and cityscape.
The monthly series will be held on the second Thursday of each month at C’ville Coffee, just off McIntire Road. This comfortable and casual venue will allow attendees to enjoy great food and drinks while viewing and discussing a wide array of classic C’ville images.
C’ville Coffee is the same location where we showed “Roseberry’s Charlottesville” in January. The owner, Toan Nguyen, has a well-deserved reputation for supporting local arts and culture here in Charlottesville. A nominal fee will be charged for these events to support the work of CHIL. We hope you will join us!
